Abstract

Hrvatsko plivanje prati trend manjka natjecatelja u finalima na najvećim svjetskim i europskim natjecanjima. Navedeni problem je doveo do pretpostavke (ili hipoteze) da sindrom pretreniranosti može utjecati na osipanje talenta u mlađim ili gubitka rezultata u seniorskim kategorijama.
Cilj rada je stvoriti uvid u sindrom pretreniranosti i njegov utjecaj na sportaša te povezati navedeno s odustajanjem od sporta i natjecateljskih aktivnosti. Time bi se pokušale pronaći smjernice za rad sa sportašima koji pokazuju simptome pretreniranosti.
Prikupljeni su podaci iz različitih online baza, potom su istraživanja svedena na konačni broj (devetnaest) putem pregleda naslova, sažetaka i u konačnici cjelovitih istraživanja s ciljem sastavljanja što koherentnije baze. Uključivani su radovi koji su bili napisani na engleskom jeziku, a uključivali su sportaše aerobnih individualnih sportova, primarno plivača (9 - 36 godina; n = 2858), s ciljem postizanja točnijih rezultata.
Rezultati dobiveni pokazuju problematiku i simptomatiku povećanog volumena i intenziteta treninga u određenim fazama trenažnog procesa, ali nedostaju istraživanja na samim sportašima s dijagnosticiranim sindromom pretreniranosti i zahtjeva se daljnje istraživanje u tom području.

Abstract (english)

Croatian swimming lacks swimmers on biggest world and European championships finals following the past years. This problem leads to hypothesis of the effects of overtraining syndrome and its effects on early dropout in junior athletes, or lack of the results in professional athletes.
The goal of this research is creating input on connection between overtraining syndrome and his effects on an athlete, and further influence on sport dropout or competitions. Another goal is to find guidance for coaches and sport workers while coaching athletes which show symptoms.
Collected data came from different online bases, afterwards the research was narrowed down to a final number (nineteen) by looking through titles, abstracts, and finally whole researches, with the goal of compiling more coherent base. The research that was included was written in English, and it included aerobic individual athletes, primarily swimmers (9 – 36 years; n = 2858), with the goal of achieving most accurate results.
Results that were noticed show problems and symptoms of an increased training volume and intensity during certain phases of training process, but it was noticed the lack of research that was conducted on the athletes with diagnosed overtraining syndrome, so further research on that field is required.
