Abstract

Cilj ovog diplomskog rada bio je utvrditi razlike u parametrima situacijske efikasnosti izvođenja servisa i vraćanja servisa između tenisača pobjednika i poraženih na Roland Garrosu u 2018. godini. Korišteni su dostupni i provjereni statistički pokazatelji odigranih pojedinačnih muških susreta u glavnom turniru Roland Garrosa 2018. godine koji su dobiveni iz službenih statistika natjecanja. Analizirana su prva tri seta svih 254 mečeva koja je odigralo 128 tenisača. Praćeno je 16 statističkih parametara servisa i vraćanja servisa. Devet ih se odnosilo na servis, a preostalih sedam na vraćanje servisa. Nakon analiziranja zaključuje se da se kod servisa, a također i kod vraćanja servisa pobjednici i poraženi u prva dva seta statistički značajno razlikuju u par varijabli, dok je u trećem setu razlika statistički značajna gotovo u svim praćenim varijablama. Bolje pripremljeni igrači, kondicijski i mentalno, uglavnom iz mečeva izlaze kao pobjednici zahvaljujući manjem umoru i manjem padu koncentracije.

Abstract (english)

The main goal of this study was assess the difference in the parameters of situational efficiency of serve and return of serve between winners and defeated men players on the Roland Garros 2018. For the purpose of this research available and tested statistic indicators of played single matches men's tennis players who participated in the main Roland Garros tournaments in 2018 were used. The first three sets of all 254 matches that played 128 players were analyzed. The total of 16 variables were examined. Nine variables refer to serve and the remaining 7 to serve return. After analyzing, it is concluded that the winners and the losers in the first two sets differ in a couple of variables in the service, and also in the return of the service, while in the third set the difference is statistically significant in almost all the variables monitored. Better prepared players, mentally and physically, generally emerge victorious from matches thanks to less fatigue and less concentration.
