Abstract Suvremeno društvo upražnjava tjelesnu aktivnost sve manje i manje, zbog čega muskulatura pojedinca atrofira što može dovesti do određenih disbalansa pa čak i boli u kralježnici.
Abstract (english) Modern society exercises less and less, causing the individual's muscles to atrophy, which can lead to certain imbalances and even pain in the spine. Chronic low back pain is a growing public health problem and as such is no longer limited to middle-aged people, moreover, it also affects the younger population to a greater extent than before. It is important to understand that the etiology of low back pain is diverse and that it is not only physical but also mental in nature. The human spine is exposed to various forces and stresses on a daily basis. The accumulation of this stress can lead to a chronic condition that is difficult and slow to treat. Physical exercise is part of the recommendations in the treatment of low back pain. The problem of this research is the fact that there are no described Nordic walking exercise programs for people with low back pain. The aim of this thesis is to describe how Nordic walking can effect back pain and to show an example of a plan and program of Nordic walking exercises. Nordic walking is a type of physical activity in which symmetrical and transformational effects on the human body are achieved through coordinated work of the arms and legs in a normal movement pattern and the use of sticks. Based on previous research, it can be concluded that a properly designed Nordic walking program is a good example of physical activity that is applicable to people suffering from chronic low back pain.
