Abstract
Glavni cilj ovog diplomskog rada je ukazati na važnost prevencije kako ne bi došlo do nastanka jedne od mnogih ozljeda leđa kod sportaša koji se bave veslanjem. Uzroci nastanka boli u leđima i ozljede samih leđa tijekom cijele veslačke karijere su mnogostruki. Jedan od njih je i genetika, na koju nikako ne možemo direktno utjecati, ali zato druge uzroke možemo prevenirati uz pravilno naučenu tehniku veslanja, određeni plan i program vježbi jačanja, posebno istezanja, te primjenu pravilnog držanja tijela kroz obavljanje svih zahtjeva koji ovaj sport iziskuje. Kako je veslanje jedno od energetsko - fizički najtežih sportova na svijetu bitno je prevenirati nastanak bilo koje ozljede leđa, koja se može pojaviti u izrazitim naporima koje ova ciklička monostrukturalna sportska aktivnost zahtjeva.

Parallel abstract (English)
The main goal of this thesis is to underscore the importance of prevention in order to avoid happening one of many back injuries in athletes who are engaged in sport - rowing. The causes of back pain and back injuries itself throughout the rowing career are multiple. One of them, is genetics, to which we can not directly affect, but we can prevent other causes with well learned rowing tehnique, specific plan and exercise program of strenghtening and stretching and the performance of everyday activities. As rowing is one of the energy - physically the toughest sports in the world, it is important to prevent the occurrence of any back injury, which can occur in distinctive efforts which this cyclical monostructural activity require.
