Abstract
Brojnim modelima i teorijama se nastoji objasniti ponašanje koje uvjetuje više ili niže razine tjelesne aktivnosti (Buchan i sur., 2012; ACSM, 2013a). Ipak, vrlo malo se zna o utjecaju različitih vrsta škole na obrasce energetske potrošnje i razinu tjelesne aktivnosti. Ovaj rad ima dva glavna cilja. Prvi cilj je utvrditi postoje li značajne razlike između učenica gimnazija (G) i strukovnih škola (S) u ukupnoj energetskoj potrošnji (UEP), nesedentarnoj energetskoj potrošnji (NSEP) i vremenu provedenom u tjelesnoj aktivnosti umjerenog do visokog intenziteta (UVTA). Drugi cilj je utvrditi ima li razlika u UEP, NSEP i UVTA između školskih dana (ŠD) i vikenda (V), te jesu li te razlike uvjetovane vrstom škole. Uzorak obuhvaća petnaestogodišnje učenice gimanzija (N=64) i strukovnih škola (N=52). Ne postoje značajne razlike u UEP (G=38.4±4.4 Kcal/kg/dan; S=37±5.3 Kcal/kg/dan; p=0.140) i NSEP (G=19.4±5.3 Kcal/kg/dan; S=17.6±6.3 Kcal/kg/dan; p=0.091), ali postoje u UVTA (G=86±34 min/dan; S=72±37 min/dan; p=0.026). Postoje značajne razlike između školskih dana i vikenda u UEP (UEP ŠD=38.4±5 Kcal/kg/dan; UEP V=36.1±6.5 Kcal/kg/dan; p<0.001), NSEP (NSEP ŠD=19.6±5.9 Kcal/kg/dan; NSEP V=16±7.8 Kcal/kg/dan; p<0.001) i UVTA (UVTA ŠD=85±37 min/dan; UVTA V=67±52 min/dan; p<0.001). Razlike između školskih dana i vikenda neovisne su o vrsti škole u UEP ŠD-V (G=3.1±5.2 Kcal/kg/dan; S=1.2±5.5 Kcal/kg/dan; p=0.066), NSEP ŠD-V (G=4.1±6.2 Kcal/kg/dan; S=2.8±7 Kcal/kg/dan; p=0.314) i UVTA ŠD-V (G=21±46 min/dan; S=14±48 min/dan; p=0.318). Učenice strukovnih škola manje vremena provode u tjelesnoj aktivnosti umjerenog do visokog intenziteta. Sve učenice imaju nižu energetsku potrošnju i razinu tjelesne aktivnosti vikendom u odnosu na školske dane. Stoga reforme koje nastoje stvarati školsko okruženje koje potiče na tjelesnu aktivnost trebaju pažnju posvetiti vikend danima i učenicama strukovnih škola.

Numerous models and theories try to explain the behavior which causes higher or lower levels of physical activity (Buchan et al., 2012; ACSM, 2013). However, very little is known about the influence of different types of schools on patterns of energy expenditure and physical activity levels. This paper has two main objectives. The first goal is to determine whether there are significant differences between gymnasium schoolgrils (G) and vocational schools schoolgrils (V) in total energy expenditure (TEE), non sedentary energy expenditure (NSEE) and time spent in moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA). The second objective is to determine whether there are differences in TEE, NSEE and MVPA between school days (ScD) and weekends (W), and whether those differences are dependent by the type of school that female students attend. The sample includes fifteen year old gymnasium schoolgirls (N=64) and vocational schools schoolgrils (N=52). There are no significant differences in TEE (G=38.4±4.4 Kcal/kg/day; V=37±5.3 kcal/kg/day; p=0.140) and NSEE (G=19.4±5.3 Kcal/kg/day; V=17.6±6.3 Kcal/kg/day; p=0.091), but there are in MVPA (G=86±34 min/day; V=72±37 min/day; p=0.026). There are significant differences between school days and weekends in the TEE (TEE ScD=38.4±5 kcal/kg/day; TEE W=36.1±6.5 Kcal/kg/day; p<0.001), NSEE (NSEE ScD=19.6±5.9 Kcal/kg/day; NSEP W=16±7.8 Kcal/kg/day; p<0.001) and MVPA (MVPA ScD=85±37 min/day; UVTA V=67±52 min/day; p<0.001). Differences between school days and weekends are independent of the type of school in the TEE ScD-V (G=3.1±5.2 Kcal/kg/day; V=1.2±5.5 Kcal/kg/day; p=0.066), NSEE ScD-V (G=4.1±6.2 Kcal/kg/day; V=2.8±7 Kcal/kg/day; p=0.314) and MVPA ScD-V (G=21±46 min/day; V=14±48 min/day; p=0.318). The students of vocational schools spend less time in moderate to vigorous physical activity. All students have a lower energy expenditure and physical activity levels on weekend days compared to school days. Therefore, the reforms seek to create a school environment that encourages physical activity should focus on weekend days and students of vocational schools.
