Abstract

Parallel abstract (English)
The main goal of this research was to determine the difference in rally statistics between winners on Austalian Open and Roland Garros in 2015. The key difference of these tournaments is in the court surface on which tournaments are played. Australian Open is played on hard, fast surface (Plexicushion Prestige), while Roland Garros is played on the slowest surface, clay, which means players have different approaches to each match. For purpose of this study statistical indicators were used of ATP winners who have played in the main draft of Australian Open and Roland Garros 2015. The sample of subjects was consisted of 103 winners of Australian Open and 126 winners of Roland Garros. First three sets played during the tournaments were statistically processed. The sample of variables was consisted of 30 statistical parameters that were officialy monitored by international tennis organization during the Australian Open and Roland Garros. Basic descriptive parameters were caluculated for all variables and the difference between the parameters of situational efficiency in rally statistics were determined by t-test of independent samples. The research results indicate that the winners of Roland Garros achieve more winners playing from the baseline and using ground strokes than winners of Australia Open. Winners of Roland Garros also achieve more points by using drop shots. These differences are caused by different playing tactics on these two tournaments.
