Abstract

Glavni cilj ovog diplomskog rada bio je ukazati na problem uĉestale pojave osteoartritisa koljena u srednjoj i starijoj životnoj dobi te predstaviti kineziterapijski tretman odnosno vježbanje kao jednu od metoda lijeĉenja osteoartritisa koljena. Osteoartritis koljena nastaje kao posljedica propadanja zglobnih struktura u koljenskom zglobu zbog više ĉimbenika od kojih su najznaĉajniji ranija oštećenja struktura koljena (traume), naĉin života (prekomjerna tjelesna težina) i starija životna dob. Upravo zbog tih ĉimbenika od iznimne je važnosti utjecati na prevenciju pojave osteoartritisa, a ukoliko je do bolesti došlo važno je kvalitetno provoditi kineziterapiju odnosno provoditi vježbe za opseg pokreta, stabilizaciju i snagu mišića koljenskog zgloba kako bi se smanjila bol, poboljšala pokretljivost i kvaliteta života osoba oboljelih od osteoartritisa.

Abstract (english)

The main aim of this master’s thesis is to draw attention to a problem of increased occurrence of the knee joint osteoarthritis in the middle and older life age, and to introduce kinesitherapy treatment, i.e. exercise as one of the treatment methods of the knee joint osteoarthritis. Knee joint osteoarthritis is a result of the deterioration of joint structures in the knee joint due to numerous factors among which most prevalent are earlier joint structure damages (trauma), way of life (overweight), and older life age. Due to these factors, it is extremely important to influence the prevention of osteoarthritis, and if the disease has already occurred it is important to perform quality kinesitherapy, i.e. to perform range of motion exercises, exercises to strengthen and stabilise knee joint muscle in order to reduce the pain, improve mobility and quality of life for patients suffering from osteoarthritis.
