Abstract Sindrom karpalnog tunela spada u jednu od najčešćih neuropatija gornjih ekstremiteta. Prilikom procjene sindroma karpalnog tunela najčešće su korišteni provokacijski testovi poput Phanelovog i Tinelovog testa, dok ''zlatni standard'' predstavlja elektroneurofiziološka dijagonstika.
Abstract (english) Carpal tunnel syndrome is one of the most common upper extremity neuropathies. The carpal tunnel is an anatomically limited space, and any condition that causes an increase in pressure within the canal will consequently compromise the median nerve and cause pain. Provocative tests such as the Phanel and Tinel tests were most commonly used in the assessment of carpal tunnel syndrome, while the "gold standard" was electroneurophysiological diagnostics. There are two ways to treat carpal tunnel syndrome, conservative and surgical. During treatment, it is very important to recognize the symptoms at the earliest possible stage in order to achieve the best possible recovery results through a combination of kinesitherapy and other physiotherapeutic procedures. Kinesitherapy plays a major role in the prevention of carpal tunnel syndrome, the postoperative recovery process and the reduction of patient recurrence. The aim of this thesis is to present methods of kinesitherapy that reduce and prevent the symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome.
