Abstract

Stres fraktura rebra (SFR) je u veslanju ozljeda koja se među veslačima i veslačicama događa prilično često. Takva vrsta tjelesne povrede trenutno udaljava sportaša od svih planiranih trenažnih i natjecateljskih aktivnosti te zahtjeva preciznu i pravovremenu dijagnozu kao i učinkovit plan što skorijeg oporavka.
Stoga je potrebno razumjeti kretnju i biomehaniku veslanja, etiologiju i čimbenike rizika, moguće mehanizme ozljeđivanja, metode oporavka te učinkovitost moguće strategije prevencije SFR-a, što je ujedno i cilj ovog rada.

Abstract (english)

Stress fracture of the rib (SFR) is a rowing injury that occurs quite often among male and female rowers. This type of bodily injury currently distances the athlete from all planned training and competition activities and requires an accurate and timely diagnosis as well as an effective plan for recovery as soon as possible. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the movement and biomechanics of rowing, etiology and risk factors, possible mechanisms of injury, methods of recovery and the effectiveness of a possible strategy for the prevention of SFR, which is also the aim of this paper.
