Abstract

Glavni cilj rada je široj sportskoj javnosti omogućiti bolje upoznavanje sporta plivanja perajama; pojasniti osnovne činjenice o povijesnom razvoju, opremu, tehnici, pravilima i rezultatima te na taj način pomoći razvoju i afirmaciji, kao i potaknuti interes za ovaj atraktivan sport. Opisan je razvoj sport plivanja perajama kroz povijest u svijetu te u Hrvatskoj. Objašnjena je i opisana oprema koja se koristi pri natjecateljskom plivanju perajama, poput monoperaje i centralne disalice. Nabrojene su i opisane discipline i pravila natjecanja. Analizirani su elementi tehnike natjecateljskog plivanja perajama. Objašnjena je problematika orijentacije i selekcije u Hrvatskoj.

Abstract (english)

Main objecitve of the thesis is to enable the general sports public to know more about the sport of finswimming; explain the basic facts about the history of the sport, the neccessary equipment, technique and rules – thereby helping to develop the sport and cause interest for this attractive activity. Historical development of the sport throughout the history is explained, both global and specifically in Croatia. The equipment competitors use in finswimming is described, such as the monofin and the central-mounted snorkel. The rules and events swum on competitions are described. Elements of a finswimmer's technique are analysed. The problems pertaining to the selection of sportsmen in Croatia are explained.
