Abstract

Ozljede Ahilove tetive veoma su česta pojava, kako kod sportaša tako i u svakodnevnom životu opće populacije. U ovom će se radu najprije anatomski i biomehanički opisati struktura i svojstva područja koja okružuju tetivu, ali i nju samu. Također, vrlo je bitno naglasiti da postoje dva osnovna tipa ozljeda koje se mogu javiti prilikom oštećenja Ahilove tetive, a ona podrazumijevaju tendinopatije i rupture. Nakon uspostavljanja kvalitetne dijagnoze slijedi odabir odgovarajuće metode njezinog liječenja. Pri tome, temeljne metode koje se u tu svrhu mogu koristiti jesu operacijske i neoperacijske. Iako odabrana metoda liječenja Ahilove tetive eliminira nastalu ozljedu, nužno je provesti optimalan protokol rehabilitacije kako bi se spriječila pojava recidiva.

Abstract (english)

Achilles tendon injuries are very frequent not only in athletes but also in those the general population. Through this thesis, first anatomically and biomechanically structure and properties of the tendon as well as the area surrounding it will be described. Furthermore, it is essential to emphasize the existence of two basic types of injuries, tendinopathy and rupture, which can occur due to damaged Achilles tendon. After establishing an accurate diagnosis, the appropriate method of its treatment is selected. Basic methods that can be used for this purpose are surgical and non-surgical. Even though the chosen method of treatment eliminates the injury, it is necessary to implement an optimal rehabilitation protocol to prevent its recurrence.
