Breaking disciplina zahtjeva visok stupanj razvoja motoričkog statusa.
Abstract (english) Breakdance made its Olympic debut at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires in 2018. After its extraordinary success, it became an Olympic sport and received the new name breaking. This alone is expected to change the current form and method of training breakdance dancers, and the very need to study the fitness profile of dancers. The aim of this paper is to present the fitness status of Croatian breakdancers, describe and analyze anthropometric characteristics and motor skills; Evaluate functional abilities and functional movement assessment. On the basis of the above, another goal is to propose ways of training with a kinesiologist. The research was conducted on breakdancers of the Croatian Sports Dance Association. The sample of respondents consists of 17 respondents ranging from 13 to 29 years old, divided into 3 age categories; Youth, Older Youth and Adults. The subjects were tested in 10 anthropometric variables, 7 motor variables, 2 body composition variables, 6 variables for evaluating the functionality of movement, and an aerobic endurance test. The listed data are processed by statistical analysis of descriptive statistics, Shapiro-Wilk test, analysis of variance, Kruskal-Wallis analysis of variance, and Pearson's correlation coefficient. The current breaking population is wide ranging in characteristics and abilities. In the future, it is necessary to define a specification equation in sports that will enable the profiling of characteristics and abilities necessary for a dancer to achieve top results and a better and more purposeful selection that will homogenize the breaking population.
